Beach: there are many unspoilt beaches along the Daintree Coast.

Boardwalks: just down the street from Rainforest Hideaway is the Dubuji boardwalk that winds through rainforest and mangroves.

Cinema: There is a 25 seat cinema on the upstairs floor of Whet restaurant, very comfy sofas and beanbags, shows run at 14:00, 16:00 and 20:00. Entry fee $15.- or only $10.- when you dine.

Daintree Discovery Centre: located between the Daintree river and Cow Bay.

Entomological Museum: situated on Turpentine Road, just south of the Cooper Creek crossing, this museum houses the largest collection of rare and exotic butterflies and insects in Australia.

Fishing: try your luck in the ocean or the creek, but get informed about where to fish first, there are several zones around Cape Tribulation with different rules.
There are also several fishing charters on the Daintree river or you can hire your own boat to go out on this river.

Ice cream: there are two places to sample ice cream made from the exotic fruits that are grown in this area; one at Floravilla at the turn off to Cow Bay Beach, and the next one just a bit up the road at the Daintree Icecream Company.

Mountain biking: Hire a mountain bike and explore the beaches and the Bloomfield Track.

Mount Sorrow Trail: There is a hiking track from the main road up to Mount Sorrow, this will take you most of a day and reward you with views all the way out to the reef on a clear day.

Sea kayaking: if you don't feel like going out on a sea kayaking tour then you can also hire your own kayak at either Cape Trib Camping or at The Beachhouse.

Swimming: There is a swimminghole in the creek at the Cape Tribulation Shop for year round safe swimming.
